Kruger and the men's basketball team held their team media day on Monday and a few main threads ran through the team's talk: motivation, the tournament and the impact of the newcomers.

“What stands out with this group is their sincerity with regards to investment and paying unselfishly and thoughts about teammates and one another,” Kruger said. “With every team you want that to be the case but this group really feels that.”

KRUGER ANNOUNCES REDSHIRTS

Freshman forward C.J. Cole and junior forward D.J. Bennett will both redshirt the 2012-2013 season.

Cole is from Sperry, where he was a three-time All-State selection. In 2012, he was named to The Oklahoman's Super 5.

Bennett transferred from Indian Hills (Iowa) Community College, where he averaged 7.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and a team-high 1.7 blocked shots per games.
