Coale rarely accepts Division I transfers, but said taking Little was a no-brainer.
“We have taken very few transfers, but we knew her, and we'd fallen in love with her in the recruiting process, and we had thought from the beginning that this was a great fit for her,” Coale said. “She was honest about her experience and about why she wanted to transfer. … Her heart was in the right place, and she really wanted to be here. She's a terrific player, so when those others things line up, it's a no-brain decision.”
Little had another connection to Oklahoma in guard Nicole Kornet, one of her closest friends and a former AAU teammate.
Throughout last season, the two stayed in touch, with Kornet regularly throwing hints about how much she loved it at Oklahoma.
“She caught on quickly,” Kornet said with a laugh. “She just knew that this was the place that was meant for her. People make mistakes.
“It's been awesome. I've loved every second of it. I got my best friend back.”
