— The Oklahoma women's basketball team gets a chance to establish some multigame momentum at home following Wednesday's 64-63 win over Texas.

The Sooners host Kansas at 7 p.m. Saturday inside Lloyd Noble Center, seeking their first pair of back-to-back wins in more than a month.

“I do think it's nice that we'll play at home again,” said OU coach Sherri Coale. “I think that's probably the most important piece of it. If we can show up with the same sort of focus and commitment to detail, then maybe we can create some momentum that we can take with us in the following week.

“But it's one possession at a time for forty minutes for us right now, and it'll be that way until the final bell goes.”

The Sooners (16-11, 7-7 Big 12) beat Kansas in the season's first meeting in Lawrence, Kan., winning 81-71 on Feb. 9. But they followed that up with back-to-back losses — at home to West Virginia by a point, and at Oklahoma State in a rout.

After facing Kansas, the Sooners get a short, one-day break before traveling to Waco, Texas, to face Big 12 front-runner Baylor, which beat OU 81-67 on Feb. 3.

OU finishes the regular season with a game at TCU and then at home against Texas Tech before the Big 12 Tournament begins Friday, March 7, in Oklahoma City.
