Oklahoma basketball: Sooners blow 22-point lead in loss to Texas
AUSTIN, Texas — Romero Osby didn’t want karma to come back around when he saw Amath M’Baye flash the horns down at Texas fans. But it did. In a big way, too.

Myck Kabongo scored 31 points and made an off-balance jumper at the buzzer to force overtime, and Texas rallied from 22 points down in the second half to beat Oklahoma 92-86 Wednesday night in a Big 12 basketball game at the Erwin Center.
Oklahoma blew a 22-point lead in the last 7:54 of regulation. And Texas’ comeback started after Sam Grooms’ alley oop was slammed by Amath M’Baye — who promptly flashed the horns down sign at an estimated 1,000 Texas fans that remained in the arena.
Osby, a senior, scolded at M’Baye, a junior, afterward.
“You know, I wasn’t trying to get on him because he’s a grown man,” Osby said, “but I just wanted to tell him, ‘Let’s win with class.’ We were up 20 at the time. ... He’s not that type of guy. He just got caught up in the moment.”
The gesture meant to taunt the Texas crowd instead fired up the Longhorns. Texas' full-court press helped force the Sooners into 16 turnovers that the Longhorns converted into 26 points.
Kabongo led the way, showing everything Texas missed while he sat out a 23-game NCAA-imposed suspension. In just his fifth game back, Kabongo drove the basket, dished out six assists and stepped outside for 3-pointers.
