People who donate blood during the Independence Day holiday week will receive a 2013 All-American T-shirt and two tickets to the Oklahoma City Zoo from Oklahoma Blood Institute.
“Holidays put incredible stress on the blood supply for patients in our state,” John Armitage, blood institute president and CEO, said in a news release. “We are grateful for all donors who make time to help their fellow Oklahomans who will need blood through the Independence Day holiday, when our donations tend to decline.”
Healthy people age 16 and older can donate at the following blood drives:
Saturday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, Donors also will get two tickets to Wednesday's RedHawks game and fireworks show.
Tuesday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Riverwind Casino. Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Weatherford Regional Hospital.
Friday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kickapoo Casino in Harrah, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at FireLake Casino in Shawnee and 1 to 6 p.m. at Grand Casino in Shawnee.
July 6: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fort Thunder Harley-Davidson in Moore and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Shawnee Mall.
