Strong winds cause damage Hurricane-force winds damaged buildings, downed trees and destroyed three barns in Pontotoc County on Wednesday night. Wind gusts up to 85 mph were recorded at the entrance to the Chickasaw Turnpike northeast of Roff, Pontotoc County Emergency Manager Chad Letellier said Thursday.
