Orchids boosts cash dividend

Orchids Paper Products Co. is boosting its quarterly cash dividend from 25 cents to 30 cents a share, the company announced Thursday. “Orchids continues to generate significant excess cash flow, so we are pleased to announce an increase in our dividend to $0.30 cents per share that continues our trend of increasing dividend payouts,” CEO Bob Snyder said. “This increase in our dividend, which is the third increase in the last sixteen months, demonstrates the confidence that the board of directors has in the long-term growth of our business and emphasizes our commitment to create long-term value for our stockholders.” The dividend is payable on March 29.

ScanMed QR wins top honors

An Oklahoma City medical technology company took top honors at Get Started OKC, a contest to support local entrepreneurship and business innovation, sponsored by Cox Business and Inc. Magazine. ScanMed QR, which produces medical alert bracelets featuring a QR code, won top marks for originality, ease of implementation and benefit to the community. The business received a $5,000 Cox Business technology makeover.

RV Super Show is scheduled

The 44th Annual RV Super Show is being held March 14-17, at State Fair Park. The annual spring RV show will feature the inventories of six of central Oklahoma's RV dealers and related companies and services. Hundreds of motor homes, fifth wheels, travel trailers and sport utility RVs will be on display in the Cox Pavilion, Centennial Building and Travel & Transportation Building. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 14-16, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 17. Admission is $9 and free for kids 12 and under. Go to www.rvshowokc.com for details.
