Association names new president

Nate Webb is the new president of the Oklahoma Credit Union Association — a subsidiary of the Cornerstone Credit Union League. Webb succeeds Gary Jones, who retired March 31. From January 2007 to February 2011, Webb was chief of staff in the office of then Congresswoman Mary Fallin. Prior to that, Webb was Fallin’s chief when she served as Oklahoma lieutenant governor.

Groups unite for business forum

Oklahoma Bid Assistance Network, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce and Great Plains, Red River, Western and Southwest Technology Centers are teaming up to provide local business owners with a seminar to teach them how to do business with federal agencies and prime contractors. The Southwest Oklahoma Procurement Seminar will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 29 at the Worley Seminar Center, Building 300 on the campus of Great Plains Technology Center, 4500 West Lee Blvd. Federal agencies and government contractors will meet with seminar participants, and participants may bring business cards and capability statements to the seminar. The seminar costs $15 and reservations must be received by April 24. To register, call the Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce at (580) 355-3541.
