Spirit AeroSystems opens office

Spirit AeroSystems Inc. Aftermarket Customer Support recently opened a sales office at the Tinker Business and Industrial Park in Midwest City. Spirit’s Aftermarket division provides original equipment manufacture spare parts for commercial platform aircraft that have been modified for military programs. “The proximity of this office to both our OEM customer and a major U.S. military base helps position Spirit Aftermarket to respond more efficiently to customer needs,” said Mike Williams, vice president and general manager of Spirit Aftermarket Customer Support.

Foundation picks Rogers’ kin

— Carl S. Milam, Oklahoma City businessman and relative of Will Rogers, has been named treasurer of the Will Rogers Memorial Foundation. Milam is an Oklahoma City native and businessman with varied interests. His father, Tom, was the son of Maud Irene McSpadden, daughter of Will’s sister, Sallie. Milam owns Will Rogers Theatre in Oklahoma City, an Oklahoma landmark built in 1946. From that space, decorated with photos and drawings of Will Rogers, he runs Western Concepts Restaurant Group. The restaurant group includes Sushi Neko, The Lobby Cafe, Musashi’s, Coach House and the Theatre.
