Whirlpool plant celebrates feat

Whirlpool Corp.’s Tulsa plant has produced its 20 millionth freestanding range. The landmark unit is a gas range produced for the Whirlpool brand. Many employees work on Line 3 between two shifts, producing gas ranges for the Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid and Amana brands. All employees who built the special unit took a group photo with the range and signed a congratulatory letter that details the production milestone to its future owner. A buyer will learn the surprise story behind their new range when they open it up later this year.

Navistar revs up bus production

Navistar International Corp. plans to ramp up production at its bus assembly plant in Tulsa. In the second half of the year, the Tulsa bus plant will increase its average daily production rate by about 17 percent. Navistar produces International brand commercial and military trucks, MaxxForce brand diesel engines, and IC Bus brand school and commercial buses.

Network taking portfolio bids

Oklahoma City-based First Financial Network Inc. said Thursday that it is offering a portfolio containing $45 million of First trust deed secured performing Small Business Administration loan participations. The portfolio is being marketed on behalf of a bank and bids are due June 3. First Financial is offering a 15 percent nonguaranteed certificated participation interest in each loan in the portfolio of about 400 SBA 7(a) commercial real estate loans. Collateral properties are located in California, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. Online due diligence materials will be made available to qualified investors beginning May 5 at www.ffncorp.com.
