Show to benefit businesswomen
Eden Salon and Spa and The Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women, a nonprofit organization that encourages women’s leadership and entrepreneurship through education and mentoring initiatives, announced that the fifth annual Peace Through Business fashion show “Jewel” will be at 6:30 p.m. July 22 at Gaillardia Country Club. Eden Salon and Spa will host the event, alongside sponsors Ruth Meyers and Worth New York. The show will feature the latest trends in clothing and accessories and include a silent auction. Proceeds will directly benefit the institute and its work around the world. This event is one of several occurring during the institute’s Peace Through Business Mentorship Week, a program for women entrepreneurs in Afghanistan and Rwanda established by institute CEO and founder Terry Neese. As the women spend a week with their Oklahoma City mentors, they are able to connect on a personal and business level as they gain hands-on experience to develop their entrepreneurial skills.
