Insurance group names officials

The Trusted Choice Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma, the state’s largest insurance and property casualty agents association, named its 2014-2015 officers and board members during the association’s annual convention this week in Norman. New officers are Chairman Mark Carlin, of Oklahoma City (Cole, Paine & Carlin); Chairman-Elect Phil Eitzen, of Fairview (The Eitzen Agency); Treasurer Thad Leonard, of Tulsa (Rich & Cartmill); Secretary Joe Strunk, of Oklahoma City (Alexander & Strunk); Immediate Past Chairman David Eaton, of El Reno (Advantage Insurance Group); and State Director Gerald Keeton, of Oklahoma City (Cole, Paine & Carlin). Board members are Karen Dunn, of Broken Bow; Guy Landes, of Tulsa; Mike Somers, of Lindsay; Mark Tedford, of Jenks; Chris Torres, of Oklahoma City; and Wes Magill, of Weatherford. Independent agent and state Rep. Glen Mulready was presented the annual Eagle of Excellence award for his service to the insurance industry, and Dan Ramsey, Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma president and CEO, was presented special commendations by Gov. Mary Fallin and Insurance Commissioner John Doak. Ramsey is retiring this fall after over 15 years of leading the organization.
