Matrix awarded deal for $12M in New Jersey

A Matrix Service Co. subsidiary has been awarded more than $12 million worth of contracts for high-voltage transmission line work in New Jersey, the company announced Thursday. Matrix SME will remove and install more than 200 wood and steel power poles and rebuild several miles of existing transmission lines.

SandRidge extends

deadline on notes

SandRidge Energy Inc. has extended the deadline on an offer to exchange some of its outstanding senior notes, the company announced late Thursday. SandRidge's offer to swap out senior notes due in 2021 now expires Nov. 14, although about 99.9 percent of the old notes had been tendered in the exchange offer. The company also announced the expiration of two other exchange offers involving senior notes due in 2022 and 2023.

LAREDO PETROLEUM HOLDINGS INC.

Laredo Petroleum Holdings Inc. on Friday reported a net loss of $7.4 million, or 6 cents a share, for the third quarter. Laredo's third-quarter production was more than 30,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day, up 27 percent over the same period of last year. “Through our disciplined and science-backed approach, we have made substantial progress in de-risking a portion of our Permian Basin acreage, converting potential resources to higher-value reserves and confirming Laredo's potential for multizone horizontal development,” CEO Randy A. Foutch said.
