Tulsa airport starts $23M

renovation of concourse

— Tulsa's airport is starting work on a $23 million renovation of its west concourse. The work is to begin in earnest after the Thanksgiving travel weekend. The project follows a $29.5 million renovation to the east side of the airport. The work is being financed by passenger facility charges that are assessed on airline tickets. The Tulsa World reports the work that's taking place now is largely out of view of the public — new office space for American Airlines. When the work is completed, American Airlines will move to the north end of Concourse B, while Delta Air Lines will occupy the south end. After Thanksgiving, Delta will move to the opposite side of the airport and crews will wall off the area so heavy construction can begin.
