Shell store plans grand opening

The grand opening of a new Shell convenience store will start at 7 a.m. Friday at 1101 N Midwest Blvd. During the event, Monster drinks representatives will be on site from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. handing out samples, T-shirts, hats and stickers. Big Truck Tacos will serve lunch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Subway will be available for dinner from 2 to 6 p.m. The store will have bags of popcorn and snow cones for 25 cents each and fountain drinks for 50 cents. Store hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Chamber sets Halloween event

Business professionals are invited to the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber's annual Halloween-themed networking event, SchmoozaPalooza, Thursday at State Fair Park. The event is 4 to 7 p.m. in the Travel & Transportation Building. Tickets are $10 each and include a drink ticket. Discounts are available on purchases of four or more tickets.
