Scholarships are offered

Applications are being accepted for scholarships from the Association for Women in Communications. Any woman pursuing a degree in a communications-related field at an Oklahoma college or university is eligible to apply. Applications must be postmarked by March 13. Selection is based on aptitude, interest in a communications career, academic performance, financial need and demonstration of community service. The total amount of scholarships awarded will range from $5,000 to $8,000. To find out more, go to www.awcokc.org.

Job fair set at city hotel

National Career Fairs is planning a job fair March 13 in Oklahoma City at the Renaissance Oklahoma City Convention Center Hotel, 10 N Broadway. The event will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Employers attending include MidFirst Bank, Braum's Ice Cream and Dairy Stores, Family Dollar and Aflac. Job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally and bring copies of their resume.
