Remodeled store is unveiled
Perfection Truck Parts & Equipment recently unveiled its newly remodeled store at 5100 W Reno. The project has been ongoing since October. The company revamped its facade, resurfaced the parking lot and updated lighting in the shop bays and body shop. The company, founded in 1946, stocks more than 120 lines of truck and industrial parts and more than 100 lines of equipment. The five-acre facility features a 14-bay service department for installation.
Raising Cane's opens new site
MOORE — Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers opened its doors Thursday at 700 SW 19 St., its second Oklahoma location. Members of the Moore Chamber of Commerce and Southmoore High School cheerleaders participated in the grand opening. The first 100 customers received a T-shirt and voucher for a free meal. Raising Cane's, based in Louisiana, has 126 restaurants in 16 states. The company has a limited menu based on its signature item: chicken finger meals with secret sauce.
Franchise to expand in state
Brightway Insurance, an insurance store franchise, has announced plans for initial expansion into Oklahoma City. Brightway Insurance plans to open up to 43 Oklahoma franchise stores, including 25 stores in the Oklahoma City area with up to 250 insurance agents. Brightway Insurance has 100 franchise stores across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Texas. Brightway does not require a franchisee to have any past insurance experience; however, a franchisee must earn a state insurance agent license before entering into a franchise agreement with Brightway.
MidFirst Bank, Oklahoma City's largest locally based bank, reported $57 million in first-quarter earnings, a 6 percent increase over the same period last year. Over the past 12 months, MidFirst has added 250 new jobs and experienced a 28 percent increase in consumer checking balances, the company said Wednesday. MidFirst's regulatory capital and reserves of $1.46 billion represent a $91 million increase over levels reported a year ago. The bank's 13.5 percent core capital ratio places MidFirst eighth among the 100 largest U.S. banks, MidFirst said.
