Dozens of animals were donated by 2013 Oklahoma Youth Expo participants to benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma's Food for Kids backpack program. Meat from the donated animals is processed into protein sticks and included in the backpacks. The Diamond Hats, a group of rural women who support the livestock industry, established the program, which gives the winning 4-H club or FFA chapter a trophy at the Oklahoma Youth Expo Sale of Champions, a $500 donation and lunch with industry representatives. The expo continues through Friday at State Fair Park.
