Oklahoma Christian University will kick off its homecoming weekend by honoring accomplished graduates and friends Friday during the annual alumni banquet.

The honorees are Lon and Jane Winton, Distinguished Alumni; Meagan Hawley, Distinguished Young Alumna; James and Frank Davis, Legacy Award; Pete, Mike, Paul and Mark Brazle, Missions Award; and Becky Durham and Carla Merideth, Honorary Alumni.

The banquet is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the Gaylord University Center. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling 425-5110 or emailing dana.holley@oc.edu. Discounted prices are available for a table of eight.

“With so many of our alumni doing outstanding and amazing things throughout the world, it's always difficult to narrow it down to just a few for this event,” Bob Lashley, executive director of alumni relations, said in a news release. “This year's slate of honorees totally fulfills the purpose for which these specific awards were created. We're thrilled to able to honor them in this way.”

Other homecoming events include performances, a parade, a carnival, a chapel service, and women's and men's basketball games. A complete schedule is available at www.oc.edu/homecoming.
