Oklahoma church abuse inquiry results in second arrest

Published: September 20, 2012

TULSA (AP) — Tulsa police have arrested a second suspect as an investigation continues into allegations of sexual abuse by former employees at a south Tulsa church.

Police say 23-year-old Israel Shalom Castillo, a former employee at Victory Christian Center, surrendered at the Tulsa County Jail on Thursday morning. He was booked on allegations of making a lewd or indecent proposal to a minor and using a computer to commit a sex crime.

His next court date is Sept. 28 and jail records did not list whether he had an attorney.

Another ex-employee, Chris Denman, was arrested Sept. 5 on a complaint alleging that he raped a 13-year-old girl on the ministry's campus in early August.

Authorities have charged five ministry employees for waiting two weeks before reporting the alleged attack to authorities
