Oklahoma City again in August recorded the lowest jobless rate among large U.S. cities.

The Oklahoma City area's 4.6 unemployment rate was the lowest among metro areas with a population of 1 million or more, according to U.S. Labor Department estimates issued Wednesday.

Unemployment rates were lower in August than a year earlier in 325 of the 372 metropolitan areas, higher in 40 areas, and unchanged in seven areas, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported.
