Insurance covers bus fire losses

Band instruments and other items lost in a bus fire will be covered by insurance, Norman Public School officials said. No monetary contributions will be needed. The instruments and uniforms of about 20 students were destroyed when a Norman Public School charter bus caught fire en route to a band competition Oct. 22 in Lawton. Students were safely evacuated, but the contents on the bus were destroyed.
