Mother’s day

plant sale set

The Oklahoma Orchid Society Mother’s Day Show and Sale is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Will Rogers Exhibition Center, 3400 NW 36. Vendors and exhibitors from Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas and Texas will present exotic plants from around the world. Raffles and a silent auction are also planned. Admission and parking are free. Museum free for moms

— The Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History will offer free admission to all mothers Sunday in honor of Mother’s Day.

Visitors can enjoy the museum’s newest exhibition, “Hungry Planet: What the World Eats,” documenting the sharp contrasts and universal aspects of this essential human pursuit of food consumption, and “Ramp It Up: Skateboard Culture in Native America,” an exhibition that examines the role of indigenous peoples in skateboarding culture, its roots in ancient Hawaiian surfing and the visionary achievements of contemporary Indian skaters.
