Jail seeks detention officers

— The Cleveland County sheriff’s office is accepting applications for detention officers to work at the county jail.

Applicants must be 19 or older, have a high school diploma or its equivalent and be a U.S. citizen.

Pay it forward to help school of law center

S&B’s Burger Joint will host a pay it forward event for the Senior Law Resource Center on Sept. 2 at its 5929 N May Ave. location. S&B’s Burger Joint hosts pay it forward events every Tuesday for local nonprofit organizations. Participating organizations receive 10 percent of the location’s sales for the day. The Senior Law Resource Center provides free and low-cost legal services to seniors, caregivers and related professionals in central Oklahoma. Chamber auction is Friday

— The Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual auction will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the University of Central Oklahoma Nigh University Center.

Corporate tables of eight are $600, and individual tickets are $75. Individual tickets include a reserved seat and dinner.
