OCCC alumni and friends association seeks hall of fame nominations

The Oklahoma City Community College Association of Alumni and Friends is accepting nominations for the alumni hall of fame. The nomination deadline has been extended to Sept. 5. To nominate a former OCCC student who has contributed in special ways to the community or the college, go to www.occc.edu/foundation/alumni.html. The banquet will be at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 20. Norman libraries will close

for Labor Day holiday

— The downtown library at 225 N Webster Ave. and the Norman West library at 300 Norman Center Court will be closed Sunday and Monday for the Labor Day holiday, Norman Public Library officials said. On those days, cardholders can use the 24-hour automated library at 125 Vicksburg Ave. or the 24-hour automated library at the Norman West branch. Patrons also can use any of the services of the Pioneer Library System’s Virtual Library at www.mylibrary2go.com.

Parents Helping Parents

will consider effects of grief
