Lane closure goes through Tuesday

The outside eastbound lane of W Tecumseh Road, just west of 36th Avenue NW, is being diverted into the inside eastbound lane between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays through Tuesday. A contractor hired by the developers of the Windsor Addition, south of Tecumseh and west of 36th, is unloading numerous concrete pipes in preparation for construction of an underground storm water detention system. Appropriate traffic control devices are being provided.

Artist brings ‘House Shows’ to Yukon home

Ohio artist Andrew Hendrixson will bring his new project, “The House Shows,” to Yukon on July 27. Hendrixson is traveling across the country, installing artwork in living rooms and local venues for one-day art shows. He will be at the Neal residence at 413 Sage Brush Road from 6 to 9 p.m. and will speak about the project at 6:30 p.m. The event is open to the public, and reservations are not needed.

LibertyFest parade is Friday

The LibertyFest parade begins at 9 a.m. Friday in downtown Edmond. ParkFest will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the University of Central Oklahoma. There will be free watermelon while it last. Music, games, family entertainment, contests and food also will be available. Fireworks are scheduled for 10 p.m. People are encourage to bring a blanket or lawn chair.
