Deaconess adoption hosts fundraiser
Deaconess Adoption will feature Leigh Anne Tuohy, on whom “The Blind Side” movie is based, as the speaker at its annual fundraiser Sept. 4 at the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame, 4040 N Lincoln Blvd.
Tuohy and her family opened their hearts and home to 15-year-old homeless athlete, Michael Oher, and the lives of the Tuohys and the young man were transformed. He is now a professional football player for the Tennessee Titans.
Tickets are $100 for an individual and $150 for a couple and can be bought at deaconessadoption.org. For more information, call Debbie Davis at 949-4200.
Museum of art Offers SUnday film and classes
The Oklahoma City Museum of Art has two classes and a film scheduled today.
Museum School will offer “Ancient Greek Theater Terracotta Masks” for ages 6 to 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. and “Chinese Brushwork Painting: Lotus” for adults from 1 to 4 p.m.
