Tickets on sale for ‘Beauty and the Beast'
CHOCTAW — Tickets are still available for Choctaw High School's production of “Beauty and the Beast.” Performances are scheduled through March 2. Tickets are $15, $12 and $10. There also is a dinner performance slated for March 2. For more information on tickets, call 259-6855. Tickets can be purchased at the Choctaw High School performing arts center, 14300 NE 10, from 4 to 8 p.m. daily.
Archery class offered in Yukon
YUKON — The Yukon Parks and Recreation Department is offering a beginning archery class for ages 9 to 12. The classes will be March 18-22 at the Jackie Cooper Gym. There is no charge for the class, but each participant must bring five target arrows. For more information and to register, call 350-8920.
Guest lecturer scheduled
Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center and Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art, in partnership with Chesapeake Energy, will host guest lecturers Desmond Shawe-Taylor and Anna Somers Cocks. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Chesapeake Energy Blue Room off Western Avenue between NW 63 and Classen. Shawe-Taylor manages one of the world's most prestigious and important art collections, that of Queen Elizabeth II. The lecture is open to the public.
