More than 500 classic and antique cars will cross the auction block this week at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City.

Leake Auction Co.’s auction will be Friday and Saturday at Cox Pavilion at State Fair Park, NW 10 and May. Doors open at 9 a.m. daily. Admission is $15 for adults and $7 for children. Senior citizens and military personnel with valid identification can get in for $10.

The auction will begin at noon Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday. A variety of vehicles will be auctioned, from a touring car of more than a century ago to more recent American muscle cars and exotic foreign models.

“We are seeing a huge surge in the popularity of car collecting, restoration and auctions, especially among the younger generation,” said Richard Sevenoaks, president of Leake Auction Co. “(Oklahoma City) is exploding for us right now. We have expanded into three buildings at the fairgrounds and will run both auction lanes on Friday. This is an exciting time for car collectors.”
