Oklahoma City bank robbed Wednesday

The FBI and Oklahoma City police are investigating a bank robbery in northwest Oklahoma City. The IBC Bank, 5701 N May Ave., was robbed about 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, according to the FBI.

A northwest Oklahoma City bank was robbed Wednesday afternoon and investigators are searching for a female robber, the FBI reported.

About 12:20 p.m., a woman entered the IBC Bank, 5701 N May Ave., and approached the teller counter. She threatened a teller, demanded money and gave the teller a black bag to put money in, the FBI reported.

The woman was last seen leaving the bank northbound on May Avenue in a white four-door sedan. No weapon was seen and no one was injured in the robbery.

The robber was described as a black female with a medium complexion, in her early 20s, about 5 feet 3 inches tall, and about 140 pounds, the FBI reported.

The robbery is being investigated by the FBI and the Oklahoma City police. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 290-7770. Callers may remain anonymous or may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000 provided by the Oklahoma Bankers Association for information leading up to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for a bank robbery.
