*Scouting report: Oklahoma City, the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference last year, arguably has the most talented roster in the AHL during the NHL lockout due to some young Oilers stars joining the team. ... The Monsters missed by two points from making the playoffs last season. ... The Barons went 3-0-1 last year against Lake Erie, which remains the farm team for the Colorado Avalanche. ... The Barons are 3-2-0 all time in Cleveland ... Three Western Conference teams switched divisions this offseason, and the Barons' former West Division is now the South. ... Nearly half of the Barons' games will be against division foes San Antonio, Texas and Houston. The Barons play all three Texas rivals 12 games each.
