CEDAR PARK, Texas — Oklahoma City continued its late-season surge Friday night with a 3-2 comeback victory over Texas in an American Hockey League game.

A crowd of 5,449 at Cedar Park Center watched Texas (39-18-11) blow a two-goal lead to an Oklahoma City (34-23-10) team that has won five of its last six games. What's more, Oklahoma City collected two more standings points and improved its chances at qualifying for the Western Conference playoffs. The top eight teams in each conference make the postseason, and the Barons are one of nine teams battling for the final four spots.

Texas led 2-0 after the first period, getting goals 1:01 apart from Brett Ritchie and Mike Commodore. The Barons drew within one in the second period, when Curtis Hamilton scored his fifth goal of the season. Oklahoma City continued the momentum in the third period when Philippe Cornet and Tanner House scored 4:34 apart.

Cornet's goal was his 12th of the season; House's was his seventh.

Barons goaltender Yann Danis stopped 26 shots. He is 5-1-2 in the last eight games.
