In Friday's win, Magnus Paajarvi opened the shootout with a goal. Jordan Eberle, who had been 0-of-3 in shootouts, deked Rampage goalie Jacob Markstrom several times to score the game winner.

“I tried to stick handle the crap out of the puck to try and confuse him,” Eberle said. “I think most goalies think I'm going to go with my backhand now. I kind of faked it and he bit. It was nice to see an open cage.”

ROY COLLECTS A WIN

Barons backup goaltender Olivier Roy stopped four of five shots in overtime to even his record at 4-4. Roy recorded a season-high 32 saves and stuffed San Antonio's Jon Sim, Jonathan Hazen and Drew Shore in overtime. The Rampage's Jon Rheault shot wide.
