When the Oilers young stars were in OKC, the Barons had the league's best power play (25.6 percent).
The new-look power play, led by Mark Arcobello and Josh Green, has had some good scoring chances the past four games. But after going 0-of-4 on Sunday the Barons are 13.3 percent (2-of-15) without Jordan Eberle, Justin Schultz, Taylor Hall and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.
“We had some good looks,” said OKC coach Todd Nelson. “We just couldn't score. If you're not getting chances that's worrisome. But we're getting chances. The goals will come.”
PLANTE'S INJURY NOT SERIOUS
Defenseman Alex Plante, who injured his shoulder in a fight Saturday night, sat out Sunday's game. Plante said an exam confirmed it's nothing major and he should be ready for next weekend's two-game homestand against San Antonio. Both games begin at 7 p.m.
