Oklahoma City Barons notebook: Rookie Martin Gernat scores Barons' only goal in loss

Rookie defenseman Martin Gernat scored the Barons only goal Saturday night in a 2-1 loss to Charlotte. Gernat has three goals in 27 games with Oklahoma City, all on the current seven-game homestand.

The Barons are in the middle of a seven-game homestand that concludes with a “triple-header” Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Cox Convention Center. The Barons host Rochester on Friday night and Milwaukee Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.


Defenseman Taylor Fedun has a plus-8 rating for the season, tops on the roster. ... After suffering injuries early in Friday's game, Curtis Hamilton (knee) and Andrew Miller (broken hand) were scratched for Saturday's game. ...
