Oklahoma City Barons notebook: Rookie Martin Gernat scores Barons' only goal in loss

Rookie defenseman Martin Gernat scored the Barons only goal Saturday night in a 2-1 loss to Charlotte. Gernat has three goals in 27 games with Oklahoma City, all on the current seven-game homestand.

Demonstrations include: OKC figure skating club (1-2 p.m.); Oklahoma curling club (3-3:30 p.m.); sled hockey, similar to wheelchair basketball (3:30-4:30 p.m.).

Admission is free. Skate rentals are available for $7. WinterFest will end around 7 p.m. on Sunday.

The Barons are in the middle of a seven-game homestand that concludes with a “triple-header” Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Cox Convention Center. The Barons host Rochester on Friday night and Milwaukee Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
