Oklahoma City Barons notebook: Several playoff scenarios for OKC

Prodigal CEO Bob Funk Jr., who runs the Barons for the Edmonton Oilers, presented Buckland with an award. Former Blazers coach Doug Sauter and former hockey radio legend John Brooks were in attendance.

The Barons don't know where they'll be seeded, or their first-round opponent, but they know they will open a best-of-five series hosting Games 1 and 2 Friday night and Saturday night at the Cox Convention Center.

The Houston Aeros, the Barons' opponent Sunday afternoon, will be moving to Des Moines, Iowa, next season in large part because of arena rental issues at the Toyota Center. The AHL board of governors last week approved the relocation of the Minnesota Wild's Triple-A team ... The Barons have outshot their opponent 13 of the last 14 games, including a 37-24 edge over Abbotsford on Saturday ... Jim Stanley won a 2013 Cadillac. It was the 13th vehicle the Barons have given away this season ... Veteran NHL veteran tough guy Darcy Hordichuk, who has played 21 games with OKC, recorded his first Barons point, an assist on Martin Marincin's third period goal.
