Oklahoma City's Steve MacIntyre saw his night end early after he was assessed major and game-misconduct penalties for butt-ending just six minutes into the second period.

The Stars capitalized on the power play, scoring four minutes later to take a 3-2 lead and eventually scoring the game's final five goals en route to an easy 7-2 win.

“I watched it on tape, and I'm not sure,” said Barons coach Todd Nelson. “I couldn't really see it all that well, but they called it and at that time we were going pretty good.”

Despite playing in just five games with the Barons, MacIntyre is now fourth on the team with a total of 30 penalty minutes. He arrived on loan from Edmonton on Nov. 22.

PICKARD GETS FIRST ACTION

After being recalled from ECHL Bakersfield (Calif.) on Tuesday, goaltender Chet Pickard made his Barons debut on Saturday night.

Pickard replaced Richard Bachman and played the entire third period. His debut makes him the Barons' eighth netminder to appear in a game this season.
