Oklahoma City Barons notebook: Todd Nelson beats former boss John Anderson

A two-game weekend series was the first time Oklahoma City Barons coach Todd Nelson coached against John Anderson, for whom Nelson was an assistant for four seasons.

EDMONTON SENDS DOWN LANDER

Barons center Anton Lander on Saturday was reassigned to Oklahoma City after the Oilers activated left winger Ryan Hamilton, who missed the first month of the season with a sprained knee. Hamilton suffered the injury a few shifts into his Oilers debut Oct. 7 against the New Jersey Devils.

UP NEXT

The Barons have only one game this week, a road game Saturday night in San Antonio. The following week the Barons have three home games, including the annual field trip matinee, Tuesday, Nov. 12, which will start at 10:35 a.m. That weekend, the Barons will host the Abbotsford Heat Nov. 15-16.
