Oklahoma City Barons rookie defenseman Justin Schultz was named American Hockey League Player of Week on Monday. The former University of Wisconsin star collected four points, including three goals over a two-game span. Schultz had two short-handed goals Friday in Oklahoma City's a 5-2 victory over San Antonio at the Cox Center. Schultz, 22, is expected to be an immediate call up by the Edmonton Oilers once the NHL lockout ends.
