Oklahoma City Community College sets summer clinics for would-be filmmakers

Students will learn motion picture production, script writing, directing and editing from OFI leader and Academy Award winning film producer Gray Frederickson.

The Oklahoma Film Institute at Oklahoma City Community College will present the Summer 2012 OFI Cinema Clinics, June 7-30.

The series of five, three-day clinics will be held in the OCCC Visual and Performing Arts Center, Thursdays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., except for the cinematography clinic, which will be held June 25-27.

Students enrolled in the clinics will learn motion picture production, script writing, directing and editing from OFI leader and Academy Award winning film producer, OCCC Artist in Residence Gray Frederickson (The Godfather Trilogy, Apocalypse Now).

Joining Frederickson will be Greg Mellott, chair of the Film and Video Production program at OCCC.

Frederickson and Mellott will guide students through the process from preproduction to script writing, directing and editing final products.

Tuition for each clinic session is $300. Space is limited.
