Woman killed in drive-by shooting

A woman was gunned down Monday night in a drive-by shooting in northeast Oklahoma City, police said. Frances Ruth Madison, 52, was standing near a pickup just before 9 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire, hitting her multiple times, police said. Madison was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. Police do not have a description of the suspect and don't know how many people were in the car. Anyone with information can call the police homicide tip line at 297-1200.
