The Oklahoman's staff makes its predictions for Game 2 of the Thunder-Nuggets series:

Thunder beat writer Darnell Mayberry
Thunder 101-96: This is going to a close series. Don't expect many blowouts on either side. The Thunder will get better play from role players, but Durant and Westbrook won't combine for 72. I think the Thunder narrowly escapes once again

Thunder/NBA beat writer John Rohde
Thunder 98-91: Look for the Thunder supporting cast to have more of a presence on the scoreboard. Also look for significant defensive pressure on Nene from an angry Kendrick Perkins.

Columnist Berry Tramel
Thunder 98-94: Westbrook and Durant aren't likely to score 72 again, but Harden and Ibaka aren't' likey to shoot 2-of-13 again.

Columnist Jenni Carlson
Thunder 101-97: The Nuggets know that a 2-0 hole is almost impossible to escape, so they'll bring it tonight. I just don't know if they have any answer for Durant and Westbrook.

Sports editor Mike Sherman
Thunder 98-94: A better defensive effort by both teams holds the score down a bit. The disparity in free-throw shooting accuracy means Denver has to play an almost perfect game in all other phases to win on the road.
