Oklahoma City Energy FC signs Dan Delgado; Christian Duke out with stress fracture

Oklahoma City Energy FC announced on Thursday that is has signed Dan Delgado to a contract.

Delgado has been training with the team for the last few weeks as what the team called a trialist. Christian Duke, who is on loan from Energy FC's MLS affiliate Sporting Kansas City, will miss the next four to six weeks after suffering a stress fracture, which opened the door for Delgado.

Delgado was drafted in the second round of the MLS SuperDraft in 2013 by the San Jose Earthquakes after playing four seasons at the University of San Diego where he scored 15 career goals.

Delgado will be available for Saturday night's match with Sacramento in Oklahoma City. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
