Oklahoma City festival is wired for art

Festival goers enjoy the second-to-last day of the Festival of the Arts in Oklahoma City.

Ron Jones, 56, said he brought his grandchildren to the festival early Saturday in hopes of beating the crowds and allowing his 6-year-old grandson to experience the different types of art.

“I paint and I hope to one day be able to show him how, too,” he said. “We also like to get some of the snacks at the food court.”

With Sunday being the final day of the festival, Kellie McDonald, 32, said she will probably make it out to listen to more live music and to try to catch some of the artists she missed.

“This is my favorite event in Oklahoma City,” she said. “I come a few days every year and look at the fabulous artists and listen to some music and just relax outside. I think this is perfect way to show off our city.”
