State Department of Human Services officials have taken custody of a 3-year-old Oklahoma City girl who tested positive for gonorrhea and chlamydia, according to a police report released today.
The name of the girl and all involved parties were blacked out of the Oklahoma City police report. No one has been arrested or charged in the incident.
A man called police about 5 p.m. Thursday saying his niece tested positive for the sexually transmitted diseases after her mother took her to a hospital because of the child's symptoms, the report states.
The mother and her boyfriend told police the girl recently returned from a visit with relatives in southeast Oklahoma and a boy molested her there, the report states. But officers said the statements given by the mother and boyfriend changed, with varying timelines and other information provided during questioning.
The girl lived with two siblings, her mother and her mother's boyfriend, the report states. All three children were taken into state custody last week.
