Oklahoma City is hiring — and finally doing so online.

The city is making its second attempt at using a comprehensive online application process for its open jobs.

Job seekers can look for positions and begin the application process online, and follow the status of their application until the job has been filled.

“We've always wanted to offer online applications,” said Dianna Berry, the city's personnel director. “This eliminates people having to go downtown and pay for parking to apply. They can apply online any time, day or night, that the job is available.”

The city has a net gain of 85 jobs in the budget for the fiscal year that began this month, and is usually hiring across a broad spectrum of positions as part of normal turnover.

There should be listings for jobs in many city departments for the foreseeable future.
