Oklahoma City has plenty of home tours coming

“Double vision” and “triple vision” are kind of themes for two big home tours in Oklahoma City.

•  The Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association presents its Parade of Homes Spring Festival the rest of this weekend and again April 26-28 with homes open free to the public from 1 to 6 p.m. each day.

The double isn't just in the two weekends. The Parade of Homes Spring Festival is not a replacement for the fall event, which will be called the Parade of Homes Fall Classic — it's in addition to the fall tour.

And the fall parade won't exactly be a repeat.

Jack Evans of TimberCraft Homes, the spring event chairman, said the fall parade will remain a showcase for the latest, greatest, most cutting-edge design and construction that builders can muster. The parade this weekend and next, he said, gives builders an opportunity to spotlight the kind of best they do every day.

Fifty-one builders will have 95 homes on display across the metro area: one downtown at The Hill, 12 in the southwest, 14 in the east, 22 in the northwest, 46 in Edmond and numerous neighborhoods.

For maps and information on the homes, go to www.paradeofhomesok.com.

Evans said Jim McWhirter of Gemini Builders, in Del City, and Caleb McCaleb of McCaleb Homes, in Edmond, help make the spring parade possible.
