Oklahoma City landlord holds man at gunpoint while waiting for police

An Oklahoma City man was arrested Wednesday after a landlord told police he caught the man robbing a rental property and held him at gunpoint until officers arrived.

An Oklahoma City man was arrested after a landlord who said he caught him robbing a rental property held him at gunpoint until police arrived.

Charles Crosby, 46, told police he noticed the overhead door of the garage at his rental home was open Wednesday. The home was vacant, but Crosby used the garage for storage, police officers said.

When Crosby went to check the garage, he told police, he found a man trying to steal things from the garage. Crosby called police and held the man at gunpoint until officers arrived and arrested Brandon Eugene Evans, 29.

Evans was being held Friday at the Oklahoma County jail on $5,000 bail. has disabled the comments for this article.
