A man is accused of raping two children, including an 11-month-old girl.

Police arrested Nathan Dewayne McKinney, 30, of Oklahoma City, after the baby girl and her 5-year-old brother were taken Aug. 9 to The Children's Hospital at OU Medical Center with injuries consistent with sexual abuse, police said.

The children's mother told police she left them McKinney while she was at work.

In addition to cuts and bruising to the 11-month-old's genitals, a foreign object had to be surgically removed, an arrest affidavit states.

The 5-year-old boy was found to have an intestinal tear, which required surgery, according to the affidavit. The child told the doctor McKinney had hurt him.

McKinney was arrested on two complaints of rape by instrumentation.

His bail was set at $100,000. He remained in the Oklahoma County jail on Monday, a jail official said.
