An Oklahoma City man is accused of stealing from his ex-girlfriend and starting a fire at her apartment, Oklahoma City police said.

Leonardo Rochelle Jones, 27, was arrested on complaints of arson, burglary, attempted burglary, concealing stolen property and endangering human life while committing a felony, jail officials said Monday.

Police were called about 10:55 a.m. Sunday to an apartment complex at 14900 N Pennsylvania Ave. to assist with a fire, according to the incident report.

A witness told police she saw a man walk into the apartment with a red container and saw him run to a vehicle with papers in his hands.

The ex-girlfriend told police she was in her apartment the night before with her current boyfriend when she looked through a window and saw Jones sitting on the curb outside. She told police she decided to leave her apartment about 1 a.m. Sunday and went to a hotel, according to the report. The woman said she and Jones had been together for six years.

Police detained Jones and two other people about 11:50 a.m. at 6233 N Meridian Ave., according to the report.

Jones was taken to the Oklahoma County jail and is being held on a $58,000 bail, jail officials said.
